In the rapid-fire world of emerging biotechnology, the “how” often gets overlooked.

Statements like, “We’re building the plane while flying it!” “We’ll figure that out later…” and “I used Vendor X or System Y before…let’s just go with them….” become part of company culture, but if you’ve ever been tasked with building a plane that’s already airborne, you know how stressful and chaotic that is… and how it rarely leads to optimal results.

 

I created Reg Ops Solutions to solve this problem. My name is Steve Ryan, and I partner with emerging biotech companies to help them take a proactive approach to anticipate challenges ahead, gather information about available options, and then make measured and wise selections that take both present and anticipated future needs into account.

 

In my 28 years in biotech, I have worked with major vendors, systems, and technologies and developed an understanding of the questions that need to be asked when assessing fit for purpose in different stages. I lead clients through this process of gathering information, meeting with vendors, and making final selections…and I help them develop a road map for the future so they can plan and scale effectively.

I have worked in biotechnology for the past 28 years, beginning my career in Data Management, then switching to Regulatory Operations for the past 17 years. The common denominator across my career has been a sharp focus on helping companies do things better: selecting the best fit-for-purpose systems, software, and services, and creating tailored processes to support those selections.
